How do I scan DuitNow QR codes displayed on the phone I'm paying with?

If you're using the same phone for both viewing the DuitNow QR code and scanning it via your banking app or e-wallet, follow these steps to complete the payment:

Important Note:

The DuitNow QR code is only valid for 1 minute. Please complete the following steps promptly to avoid having to regenerate the QR code.


Step 1: Choose DuitNow QR as Your Payment Method

  1. During the checkout process in our app, select "DuitNow QR" as your preferred payment method.

  2. The app will generate and display a DuitNow QR code on your screen.

Step 2: Save the DuitNow QR Code into your Photo Gallery

  1. Tap on the "Save to Photo" option available in the app. The QR code will be saved to your phone's photo gallery

Step 3: Switch to Your Banking/E-wallet App

  1. Exit our app and open your banking or e-wallet app. In this example, we use Touch N Go.

Step 4: Access the QR Code Scanning Feature

  1. In your Touch n Go app, look for the option to scan QR codes for payments. This is usually found in the payments or transfer section.

Step 5: Upload the Screenshot of the QR Code

  1. Instead of scanning a physical QR code, select the option to Scan From Gallery.

  2. Choose the screenshot of the DuitNow QR code you took earlier from your gallery or photos.

  3. Confirm that the QR code is correctly uploaded and follow the on-screen instructions to complete your payment.

Tips:

  • Ensure that the screenshot is clear and the QR code is fully visible.

  • Keep your banking app or e-wallet app updated to avoid any compatibility issues.
